Beggartown

Beggartown lies to the south east of the Old City. It was formed when the large area of slums outside the city walls were fortified after the Horde invasions.

Beggartown is home to some of the city's poorest inhabitants, many of them are immigrants from Zale who were forced out of the city proper after the civil war.

Despite this, the district is beginning to boom as merchants begin to buy the cheap housing and land for their business ventures.

A small cluster of shops lies in the north west of the district, near to the Newport Gate. There is a fine tavern here called the Grey Harp. It is frequented by bards and other entertainers and most nights there are sing-songs aplenty. On the other side of the road is Barnur's, the famous cheese shop.
